Recently, a Lenovo B50 laptop came into my hands which had a Windows boot issue. Obviously, one of the first steps is trying the automatic repair using the Windows DVD / USB where I should choose the corresponding device from the BIOS settings or the boot menu.

Since each manufacturer has its own shortcuts to enter the BIOS settings and the boot menu, I thought it appropriate to share it with you in case if needed.

How to access the BIOS settings in Lenovo B50 laptop

During startup when the Lenovo logo is shown, press the key combination Fn + F2. (sometimes you need to press the combination more than once to enter the BIOS)

How to display the boot menu to Lenovo B50 laptop

Similarly, when the Lenovo logo is shown, press the key combination Fn + F12. (sometimes you need to press the combination more than once to display the boot menu)

Finally, keep in mind that you must be “fast” when using one of these combinations as the logo appears only for 2-3 seconds. If not, reboot the laptop and try again.

Yes, could do that before I fixed GRUB2 with the GrubSuperDisk.
Now: no way to make BootMenu appear.
So, can’t boot from USBstick nor CD/DVD.
